This wine delivers an abundance of bold red fruit characters. Notes of black raspberry, red cherry jam, and dried fruit combine with delicate touches of clove, cedar, and cocoa. Alluring, plush mouthfeel and lasting finish. This blend is comprised of grapes grown on sites along the ridges perched above the Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County, the sun-drenched hillsides of the Napa Valley, the volcanic slopes of the Red Hills of Lake County, and the rolling hills of Eastern San Joaquin County where the Sierras begin their rise from the Central Valley.
SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL WINE & SPIRITS CHALLENGE 93: Some producers prefer not to reveal the magic recipes of their blends, and that’s the case here. That said, the composition isn’t really the point anyway. The point is that it's a delicious red wine that will pair well with a range of food, from grilled burgers to medium-strength cheeses. I appreciate the inclusion of a batch number on non-vintage bottlings, so well played all around! A Platinum Award winner at the 2021 San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge.
